I am an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor. I am accepting new supervisees into my practice. I enter into a written contract with all of my supervisees. Here is some information about my style as a supervisor and some of my contract terms. Please call me at 301-473-2197 if you would like to discuss working with me as your supervisor. Currently I am working on telehealth.
The purpose of a supervision contract is to outline the expectations and obligations of both supervisor and supervisee. We are entering into a supervision experience together and are creating an agreed-upon contract for that experience.
More on Supervision
My supervision style is collaborative and narrative. I believe we should explore strengths and areas of growth. I also do self of therapist work in supervision. I always ensure all work being done follows the AAMFT code of ethics. The supervisee will be prepared to discuss cases at every meeting and will keep written notes on supervision feedback that gets implemented in subsequent sessions. These notes will go in the client's file.
Material discussed in supervision is confidential. The supervisee will obtain permission from clients to discuss cases in supervision.
Plan for providing feedback:
Supervision by nature is a process where the supervisee receives feedback and constructive criticism. The supervisor will push the supervisee to try new things and get out of their comfort zone. The supervisor welcomes feedback from the supervisee.
The supervisee will pay the supervisor $50 per 45 minutes of supervision. This includes face-to-face and over the phone. 45 minute and 90 minute sessions for $100 are available.
The supervisor will give the supervisee an evaluation at the end of supervision on their progress.
The supervisee is responsible to maintain their own Liability Insurance Policy and keep it up-to-date.
