AAMFT Supervision

Supervision style:

 

My supervision style is collaborative and narrative. I believe we should explore strengths and areas of growth. I also do self of therapist work in supervision. I always ensure all work being done follows the AAMFT code of ethics. The supervisee will be prepared to discuss cases at every meeting and will keep written notes on supervision feedback that gets implemented in subsequent sessions. These notes will go in the client's file.

 

Confidentiality:

 

Material discussed in supervision is confidential. The supervisee will obtain permission from clients to discuss cases in supervision. 

 

Plan for providing feedback:

 

Supervision by nature is a process where the supervisee receives feedback and constructive criticism. The supervisor will push the supervisee to try new things and get out of their comfort zone. The supervisor welcomes feedback from the supervisee.

 

Financial:

 

The supervisee will pay the supervisor $60 per 45 minutes of supervision. This includes face-to-face and over the phone. 90 minute sessions for $120 are available. 

 

Evaluations:

 

The supervisor will give the supervisee an evaluation at the end of supervision on their progress.

 

Liability insurance:

 

The supervisee is responsible to maintain their own Liability Insurance Policy and keep it up-to-date.
